men's ministry

"Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all the you do be done in love."

1 Corinthians 16:13-14

What does it really mean to be a man? If you ask that question to ten different people, you will probably get ten different answers! The Bible, however, is very clear on the things that define a godly man. By looking at Jesus' life, we see that a real man is one who rejects passivity, accepts responsibility, leads courageously, and invests eternally. The men's ministry will push you to know God more intimately as we seek to become more like Jesus.

MEN’S BIBLE STUDY

THE SIGNS OF THE MESSIAH IN THE GOSPEL OF JOHN: How Seven Miraculous Signs Reveal The One True Savior.

Description:

Many people spend their lives looking for signs from God (or the universe) to direct their choices and bring them good vibes or rich blessings. In the Gospel of John, people keep asking Jesus for a sign. John records that Jesus performed seven startling, miraculous signs — and yet the people did not believe. People asked for signs, but when Jesus gave them a sign, they didn’t like the sign he gave and kept asking for more.

He fed the multitudes from nothing, healed the sick, and opened the eyes of a man born blind; he walked on water, and kept a wedding party going by turning water into wine; he even raised his friend Lazarus from the dead! What more evidence was needed? We’re not so different. Like those first-century people, many people today walk away from Jesus’s signs without showing any sign of commitment to him. Why is that? Is the problem with God and the signs he gives? Or does the problem have something to do with us? The Gospel of John tells us that God has given us seven signs. What will you do with these signs? Will you receive them, and let him transform your life?
