FAQ

  • Midtown is a diverse community where people seek to know and love God, live in authentic community with others, and strive to transform our city and the world through service and sharing God’s truth. Many who come to Midtown are investigating Christianity for the first time while others have been in church their whole lives. Everyone is welcome!

  • You are the reason we started Midtown. We want to create a comfortable environment for those who are curious about God but have never felt comfortable in church. We want Midtown to be a place where you can learn Biblical truths, apply that truth to your life, and wrestle with who God is and what He wants for you. It's okay if you don't have it all figured out yet.

  • We don't feel a need to be flashy or put on big productions for people to meet God--we believe that Jesus is enough.  We teach from the Bible, pray, and sing.  We take communion together monthly. The goal through it all is to love God and know Him better by making God's unchanging truth accessible without watering it down.

  • You're welcome to wear whatever you'd like. Most people dress casually, but there is no set dress code. Just be you.

  • Midtown is a family-friendly environment. We believe that children are a blessing from God and should be taught about God in a fun and loving environment. The nursery is available for babies through 5 yrs old. A children’s worship service is available during the adult worship service for children in kindergarten and first grade. Children ages second grade and up are encouraged to worship with their family.

  • Absolutely! We seek to be a welcoming community for people who are curious about Christianity or who are seeking to belong to a community of Christians.

  • Midtown launched its first worship service on August 8, 2010.

  • We are a PCA church (Presbyterian Church in America), faithful to the scriptures, true to the reformed faith, obedient to the great commission of Jesus Christ.

  • Midtown is an elder-led, but member informed church.

  • The best way to get connected is to participate in a Community Group, and find a way to serve. Check out the “Get Connected” page for information about how you might best get involved.
