midtown kids

Our desire is to partner with parents to help their children grow to love God and His Word. Childcare is provided during our Sunday morning worship service for infants through age 5. Children ages 2.5-5 have a Bible lesson each week, and Kindergartners - 2nd graders attend Children's Worship. Children attending Children's Worship are dismissed from the worship service before the sermon begins.

We are currently using curriculum from The Gospel Project for Kids which is a Christ-centered Bible study resource that follows a chronological timeline of the Bible. It helps children understand the Bible is not a collection of stories but one unified story--God's story of redemption.

The safety of the children in Midtown Kids is a high priority. We use a secure check-in system, and our volunteers are all trained and screened through Protect My Ministry. If you would like to read our Policies and Procedures, you can click here.

Crossfire Ministry

Our youth ministry is called "CrossFire" which points to the season of life that 3rd-6th grade children are in -- the "crossfire" of childhood and being a pre-teen. The youth at Midtown are a vital part of our church family. The CrossFire ministry is for 3rd-6th graders who want to grow in biblical wisdom and friendship. We meet from 9:00 am to 9:55 am each Sunday in the basement of the Midtown Ministry House. Our goals are to create a safe environment for fellowship and community (there is one male and female adult leader with the group at all times). We start with an ice breaker followed by scripture memory, Bible discussion, and prayer.
